Ductile iron resin casting is a precision manufacturing method that combines high-quality materials (ductile iron) and advanced casting technology (resin sand molding) to produce cast iron parts with precise dimensions, smooth surfaces, and excellent performance.
1. Core Material: Ductile Iron
It's not ordinary gray cast iron; its internal structure is more unique.
The key is that the graphite (a type of carbon) it contains is spherical (like small balls), not flake-like (like potato chips).
2. Core Technology: Resin Sand Molding
Different Molds: It uses sand mixed with a special resin binder to create the casting cavity (mold).
High Precision: The resin sand mold is extremely dense and stable, with almost no deformation of the cavity when pouring high-temperature molten iron.
This results in extremely precise dimensions of the cast parts, excellent tolerance control, and minimal machining allowance.
Smooth Surface: The fine particles of resin sand can replicate the fine surface of the mold.
The finished casting has a smooth, flat surface with clear details, excellent appearance quality, and is easier to clean or paint later.
Complex Shapes Handle: The excellent fluidity and plasticity of resin sand make it ideal for molding complex shapes, parts with intricate patterns, or internal cavities.
Flexible Production: Suitable for small to medium batch production, cost-effective from single pieces to thousands of units.
