Losier Factory’s Aluminum Alloy Precision Castings are lightweight yet high-strength: the density of aluminum alloy is approximately half that of steel, facilitating ease of transport, installation, and operation. Simultaneously, its strength is sufficient to meet the demands of most industrial applications, and it is resistant to deformation. Post-processing: The raw castings undergo subsequent processing to remove residual gates. This involves surface treatments (such as electroplating, painting, or anodizing), heat treatments (to enhance mechanical properties), or machining (to correct dimensions for high-precision requirements), ultimately yielding a qualified finished product.
The die-casting process employed by the Losier factory involves injecting molten metal into a mold cavity under high pressure. This mold cavity is formed by two hardened tool steel dies that have been precision-machined; the underlying operating principle is similar to that of injection molding. Most die-cast parts are produced from non-ferrous metals—specifically aluminum alloys and zinc alloys—and, depending on the type of metal being cast, either hot-chamber or cold-chamber casting machines may be utilized.
